Racing Incident Report
GOLD SANDFIELD and SHANGHAI KING were slow to begin. FORTUNE WARRIOR was a little slow to begin and then was further inconvenienced by GOLCONDA which shifted in. In the early stages, GOLCONDA travelled wide and without cover, then after the 1200 Metres was ridden to go forward. Making the turn after the 1200 Metres, FREEBIRD hung out. At the 600 Metres and again at the 500 Metres, CROWNED GEM was tightened for room inside GOLCONDA which got its head on the side and shifted in. After the 400 Metres, FORTUNE WARRIOR was steadied and shifted to the outside of MULTI MILLIONS to go forward. Near the 200 Metres, ELFHELM was disappointed for running between MULTI MILLIONS and CROWNED GEM which was giving ground. As a result of this, ELFHELM was checked and shifted to the inside of CROWNED GEM. Shortly after this, ELFHELM was again checked when crowded for room inside CROWNED GEM which when continuing to give ground shifted in after being bumped by MULTI MILLIONS which when improving to the inside of GOLCONDA which was also giving ground was carried in by that horse. At the 250 Metres, GOLD SANDFIELD was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of LUCKY WINNER, then after the 50 Metres was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SERIOUS PLAY. At the 100 Metres, FORTUNE WARRIOR was steadied and shifted to the outside of FREEBIRD. Almost right on the winning post, FREEBIRD was brushed by FORTUNE WARRIOR which shifted in. As a consequence of this, FREEBIRD was not ridden out fully right to the winning post. In the Straight, FORTUNE PRINCESS hung out. ELFHELM was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ELFHELM after the race did not show any significant findings. MULTI MILLIONS and FORTUNE WARRIOR were sent for sampling.
