Racing Incident Report
YUE LU TREASURE was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right eye corneal ulcer). Before being allowed to race again, YUE LU TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, GRAND STORE was hampered and carried considerably wider by MASTER CRISTO which shifted out while hanging. Because of this, GRAND STORE travelled wide and without cover in the middle stages. In the early part of the Straight, WARRIOR hung out. Over the concluding stages, GRAND STORE hung in and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of WHISKY POWER. Because of this, GRAND STORE was not ridden out fully right to the end of the race. Throughout the race, WHISKY POWER travelled wide and without cover. GRAND STORE was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. After the race, GRAND STORE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination confirmed the horse to be a "roarer". SUPREMACY and WARRIOR were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that WARRIOR had bled from both nostrils.
