Racing Incident Report

Whilst in the Parade Ring, it was noted that PRAISING had shifted its right front plate. This plate was refitted. PRAISING was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. On arrival at the Start, it was noted that WINNING EDGE had lost its right front plate. This plate was refitted. WINNING EDGE was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After being loaded, WINNER SMART became fractious and reared. GREEN CASH, FORTUNE SIX and FAT CHOY OOHLALA were slow to begin. Making the first turn near the 850 Metres, WINNING EDGE raced tight inside PRAISING. Passing the 700 Metres, WINNING EDGE lost ground when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MACHO EXPRESSO. Near the 350 Metres, SICHUAN SUCCESS was momentarily held up for clear running behind YOUNG SUPREME and inside NOBLE CHOICE. Approaching the 200 Metres, FORTUNE SIX was checked away from the heels of NEW KING PRAWN which, when commencing to weaken, was steadied away from the heels of SEA PRINCE (M W Leung) which shifted in. M W Leung was reprimanded and advised to make every effort to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in future. Passing the 200 Metres, WINNING EDGE was shifted away from the heels of the tiring YOUNG SUPREME. Throughout the race, NEW KING PRAWN and WIND DAMPER travelled wide and without cover. SICHUAN SUCCESS and PRAISING were sent for sampling.
