Racing Incident Report

EPEE DE HUA, which was slow to begin, was crowded for room shortly after the start between ASMODAI which began awkwardly and TURIN CHAMPION which got its head on the side and shifted in. Because of this, EPEE DE HUA raced back in the field. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, GLOBAL WIN failed to muster speed, got its head on the side and lay out and in doing so took NOVEL START wider. Then making the first turn near the 700 Metres, GLOBAL WIN got its head on the side and hung out, making contact with NOVEL START. When GLOBAL WIN shifted out, TURIN CHAMPION improved its position to obtain tight running to the inside of GLOBAL WIN. A short distance later, GLOBAL WIN, which continued to hang out, was steadied away from the heels of NOVEL START. In this incident, TURIN CHAMPION brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. After this, despite being ridden along, GLOBAL WIN commenced to give ground and prior to the 400 Metres raced tight between BINGO KEY which itself was racing in restricted room inside GORGEOUS LIFE and TURIN CHAMPION which shifted out slightly. The performance of GLOBAL WIN, which then finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GLOBAL WIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Making the turn after the 700 Metres, WINNER SMART got its head on the side and lay out. Approaching the 400 Metres, NOT QUITE PERFECT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BINGO KEY. Near the 150 Metres, FASCINATING SMILE got its head on the side and shifted in. Passing the 150 Metres, PLOT RATIO, which was closing off the race, was shifted in away from the heels of GORGEOUS LIFE. Then over the concluding stages, PLOT RATIO again shifted in, resulting in BINGO KEY being inconvenienced. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that NOVEL START had lost its left front plate. A veterinary inspection of GLOBAL WIN after the race revealed that the horse had sustained a cut wound to the inside of the left hock. A veterinary inspection of BINGO KEY after the race did not show any significant findings. TURIN CHAMPION and NOVEL START were sent for sampling.
