Racing Incident Report
On leaving the Parade Ring, DRAGIMOVA made contact with a running rail. DRAGIMOVA was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
PROSPERITY AETHON was slow to begin.
LUCKY CHOICE was crowded for room at the start between NOVEL START and TRUE COURAGE which shifted out.
From wide barriers, HIGH RETURN, TEAM WORK and SHAREMA FEELING were all taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
At the 800 Metres, GOLDEN GUNNERS was steadied away from the heels of EASY TO RICH (C K Tong) which shifted in when not properly clear. C K Tong was severely reprimanded.
After the 800 Metres, TRUE COURAGE commenced to over-race and for some distance was checked away from the heels of SURFER BOY.
Near the 700 Metres, PROSPERITY AETHON got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of EL GRANDE.
Passing the 600 Metres, HIGH RETURN commenced to travel keenly and got its head up for some distance when travelling close to the heels of GOLDEN GUNNERS.
Approaching the 500 Metres, EL GRANDE shifted out away from the heels of NOVEL START which itself was being steadied away from the heels of DRAGIMOVA.
Near the 150 Metres, HIGH RETURN was steadied when crowded for room between GOLDEN GUNNERS and PROSPERITY AETHON, both of which shifted ground.
Passing the 150 Metres, NOVEL START was momentarily inconvenienced when being shifted to the outside of EL GRANDE which got its head on the side and shifted in under pressure.
Over the concluding stages, NOVEL START raced in restricted room between EL GRANDE and inside GOLDEN GUNNERS which got its head on the side, lay in and proved difficult to ride.
A veterinary inspection of PROSPERITY AETHON and SURFER BOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
PROSPERITY AETHON, DRAGIMOVA and EL GRANDE were sent for sampling.
