Racing Incident Report

MR GENUINE began awkwardly and lost ground.
FUN ‘N’ GAMES, which was leaning on the outside of its stall, began awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by MR GINGER which got its head on the side and shifted out.
MR GINGER lost its left front plate at the start.
From wide barriers, ROMAN WIN and CHARITY JOY were taken across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the first turn after the 600 Metres, HARBOUR PUNK got its head up and hung out, resulting in SIGHT BELIEVER being taken wider.
Near the 450 Metres, FUN ‘N’ GAMES was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR GINGER which, after shifting out slightly, was then shifted back in.
Approaching the 100 Metres, FUN ‘N’ GAMES raced tight between CHARITY JOY and SMART MAN which got its head on the side and shifted out and away from SIGHT BELIEVER . For the remainder of the race, FUN ‘N’ GAMES raced tight between those horses and consequently was not able to be properly tested.
Approaching the 50 Metres, SIGHT BELIEVER was momentarily eased away from the heels of HAPPY YEAH YEAH which shifted out.
After the race, J Moreira stated that he had to make too much use of SIGHT BELIEVER in the early stages and because of this the horse was then not able to finish off its race. He said whilst SIGHT BELIEVER was carried wider by HARBOUR PUNK after the 600 Metres, his mount already was only travelling fairly at this time. He said SIGHT BELIEVER gave him a limited response in the early part of the Straight but weakened noticeably in the latter stages of the race. A veterinary inspection of SIGHT BELIEVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, T Berry stated that in the Straight ROMAN WIN lay in under pressure and did not feel comfortable in its action. A veterinary inspection of ROMAN WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, ROMAN WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of FUN ‘N’ GAMES immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
HARBOUR PUNK and ROMAN LEGEND were sent for sampling.
