9 1 THE GOLDEN SCENERY (E379) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 2 FANTASTIC TREASURE (E269) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running when unable to improve between KEEFY and THE GOLDEN SCENERY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FANTASTIC TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. <18/3/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports>FANTASTIC TREASURE, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. FANTASTIC TREASURE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D A Hayes yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. As previously advised, FANTASTIC TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
11 11 I GIVE (H036) After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung reported that his mount failed to run out the 1400 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
