5 7 BEATO (H090) Jumped only fairly. On the Home Turn near the 350 Metres lay out and was awkwardly positioned close to the heels of SILVER KING as that runner was giving ground.
6 4 PERFECT TEAM (H120) No report.
7 3 GALLANT WAKING (G165) After the 1300 Metres was steadied when crowded by STAR CONTACT which was taken in by SIMPLY MAVERICK (A Atzeni) which shifted in after initially racing tight to the inside of SILVER KING. A Atzeni was reprimanded.
8 8 SATIRICAL FAN (J214) Raced keenly in the lead in the middle stages.
9 6 SILVER KING (H420) Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide and without cover until the 1000 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
10 10 ACROSS DA UNIVERSE (J328) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the event, A Hamelin stated that his mount did not appreciate racing on the Happy Valley circuit and made the turns awkwardly. He added that ACROSS DA UNIVERSE made a respiratory noise during the running of the event and gave ground over the final 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ACROSS DA UNIVERSE, which finished tailed out, was considered to be unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ACROSS DA UNIVERSE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
