After the event, L Hewitson stated that over 1000 Metres tonight E UNIVERSE, under its top weight of 134 lbs, did not travel well and, in his opinion, would be better suited by being stepped up in distance where it can travel at a more sustainable early pace. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |

He said after allowing HAPPY HORSE to go forward, it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event, resulting in it not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY HORSE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
