Racing Incident Report

1 2 MID WINTER WIND (K208) On jumping was bumped by ANOTHER ZONDA which shifted in. Near the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of LO PAN SPIRIT to continue into clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 SUNNY DA BEST (J118) Near the 350 Metres was eased when momentarily crowded by YOUNG SUPERSTAR which shifted in when commencing to give ground. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 8 LO PAN SPIRIT (J233) Knuckled over on jumping and became unbalanced. After improving to the inside of OFFROAD MASTER near the 1000 Metres then got its head up when being steadied a short distance later when OFFROAD MASTER (M Chadwick) commenced to shift in slightly. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care.
4 5 LUCKY EIGHT (G204) No report.
5 13 BEAUTY LIGHT (J474) Shifted out at the start and made contact with LO PAN SPIRIT, became unbalanced and lost ground.
6 1 PACKING POWER (J284) Near the 300 Metres became unbalanced when improving into a narrow run between KING MILES and ANOTHER ZONDA. In this incident, PACKING POWER made contact with ANOTHER ZONDA and then lay in for the remainder of the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride out. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on PACKING POWER at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PACKING POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
7 14 OFFROAD MASTER (J283) Had difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance approaching the 300 Metres.
8 7 ANOTHER ZONDA (K176) Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Bumped near the 300 Metres.
9 4 KING MILES (J158) After the event, C Y Ho reported that his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and he was not too disappointed with the horse’s performance in the circumstances. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 3 YOUNG SUPERSTAR (J400) YOUNG SUPERSTAR, which was fractious in the barrier, jumped awkwardly. After the event, Y L Chung stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 9 RIDING TOGETHER (K081) Bounded on jumping and lost ground. Near the 250 Metres was disappointed for clear running between OFFROAD MASTER and MID WINTER WIND which shifted in slightly.
12 6 I P O BROS (K193) Jumped only fairly.
13 10 RUN RUN SMART (K080) After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 12 AURORA PATCH (K097) After the event, K Teetan stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position. He said as a result from the outside barrier he encouraged his mount forward in the early stages to comply with his instructions. He said after travelling a short distance his mount commenced to race keenly which resulted in it racing wide and without cover outside the lead for the majority of the event where it continued to race keenly. Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.
