Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
11 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) Sent for sampling post-race.
10 HAKKA RADIANCE (J105) Sent for sampling post-race.
8 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) Slow to begin.
2 MIDORI GIANT (K095) No report.
7 S J TOURBILLON (G138) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running for some distance near the 400 Metres.
4 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) No report.
3 SERANGOON (H296) Approaching the 2000 Metres was steadied to avoid ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT which shifted out when racing fiercely. After the event H Bentley reported that his intention was to be a little more forward but his mount jumped only fairly and settled further back. He said in the Back Straight he endeavoured to start a forward move behind ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT but when that runner did not continue forward he was obliged to shift to that runner’s inside and was unable to ride his mount forward. He added in the Home Straight SERANGOON finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 ALL ARE MINE (H293) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running approaching the 300 Metres. Over the final 100 Metres could not be ridden out when racing tight to the inside of MIDORI GIANT which shifted in slightly.
5 OCEAN IMPACT (J502) After the 700 Metres was bumped by MIDORI GIANT when MIDORI GIANT shifted out to commence a forward move.
1 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) Approaching the 2000 Metres was hampered when taken wider by SERANGOON. After the event M F Poon advised that his instructions were to take up a midfield position. He said when CAN’T GO WONG was caught wide in the early stages and when the pace of the event was being run outside of standard time he elected to allow his mount to stride forward to take up a position outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
6 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) After the event Z Purton stated that his instructions were to endeavour to find cover. He said throughout the early stages of the event ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT raced fiercely, got its head up and refused to settle. He added ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT continued to race keenly in the middle stages and after attempting to improve his position in the Back Straight ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT did not respond to his riding and commenced to give ground from the 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
