Racing Incident Report

1 7 KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded by COLOURFUL KING which was taken in by TOMODACHI KOKOROE (L Ferraris) which shifted in. Whist the Stewards accepted that Jockey Ferraris had made some attempt to prevent his mount from shifting in he was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Held up making the Home Turn. On straightening raced tight between HARMONY N BLESSED and STELLAR EXPRESS when obtaining a run between those horses. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 COLOURFUL KING (K227) Jumped only fairly. Raced wide and without cover from the 600 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 DH 3 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.
3 DH 12 HARMONY N BLESSED (E061) No report.
5 10 BRAVE STAR (G268) Shortly after the start raced tight to the inside of GUSTOSISIMO which shifted in after bumping with TOMODACHI KOKOROE.
6 1 AURORA LADY (J066) Jumped only fairly.
7 2 SON PAK FU (G265) No report.
8 4 GUSTOSISIMO (J303) No report.
9 5 HORSEPOWER (J431) Bumped on jumping. After the event Z Purton reported that his mount raced too keenly throughout the early and middle stages and refused to settle. He added this was the reason why HORSEPOWER did not run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. Trainer F C Lor concurred with the views offered by Jockey Purton and added that the horse had prepared well for tonight’s race when it performed to his satisfaction in a barrier trial on 22 May 2025 over 1200 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 8 MID WINTER WIND (K208) On jumping was crowded between HORSEPOWER and COLOURFUL KING, both of which shifted ground.
11 6 WONDER KIT (G455) Crowded on jumping by STELLAR EXPRESS which shifted in.
12 9 STELLAR EXPRESS (J186) Shifted in at the start and was bumped. After the event B Avdulla stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross to the lead. He added in the Home Straight STELLAR EXPRESS did not respond to his riding and, in his opinion, is better suited over the 1000 Metres straight at Sha Tin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV GLORY ELITE (H311) Withdrawn on 3.6.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (both front tendon injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SON PAK FU. Before being allowed to race again, GLORY ELITE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
