1 1 DANCING CLASSICS (J060) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 10 REWARDING BUDDY (J373) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 9 JOLLY COMPANION (H454) On jumping made contact with the left side of its starting gate and became unbalanced. After the event C Y Ho reported that in this incident his left foot made contact with the starting gate partition. Jockey Ho was examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining race riding engagements. Held up for clear running making the Home Turn.
4 3 ARGENTO OCEAN (K322) Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when positioned close to the heels of REWARDING BUDDY. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. H Bowman was fined the sum of $5,000 for weighing in 2 lbs overweight on return to scale.
5 5 PERIDOT (K148) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
6 11 THOUSAND CUPS (J482) No report.
7 12 TELECOM POWER (J332) Shortly after the start bumped with AWESOME TREASURE. Near the 250 Metres was disappointed for clear running between JOLLY COMPANION and OWNERS’ SUNSHINE. TELECOM POWER was then shifted to the inside of JOLLY COMPANION to obtain clear running after making contact with OWNERS’ SUNSHINE.
8 8 AWESOME TREASURE (E435) Bumped shortly after the start. After the event L Ferraris could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 4 OWNERS' SUNSHINE (K437) In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid ARGENTO OCEAN which shifted in. Near the 250 Metres became slightly unbalanced when bumped by TELECOM POWER when being shifted out to attempt to obtain clear running.
10 7 FORTUNE WARRIOR (H229) After the event C L Chau could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 2 SALUTE KING PRAWN (K393) Jumped only fairly.
12 6 CRYSTAL POWERFUL (H068) Jumped only fairly.
