Racing Incident Report
| Pla. | Horse No. | Horse | Incident |
| 1 | 1 | SUGAR SUGAR (G016) | Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 2 | 4 | GIANT BALLON (K451) | Shifted in at the start and made contact with WINNING CIGAR. In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out. Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 3 | 8 | WINNING MONEY (J116) | When questioned Z Purton stated that his instructions were to hold the lead in accordance with the horse’s usual racing pattern. He said in the early stages after jumping well he obtained a position to the outside of LEAN MASTER and he had expected that horse not show as much pace as his mount and therefore he would be able to cross that runner. He said when LEAN MASTER continued to hold its position to his inside entering the Back Straight he elected to allow WINNING MONEY to stride forward to cross that runner as he was of the opinion had he endeavoured to restrain his mount it would have commenced to race keenly and also as it has a tendency to hang out in its races. He added as a consequence throughout the middle stages WINNING MONEY set a faster pace than he would have liked. Trainer K W Lui confirmed the instructions issued and also agreed with Jockey Purton that WINNING MONEY has a tendency to race keenly and hang out when restrained. Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 4 | 10 | GOLDEN LUCK (H159) | Over the concluding stages raced tight between SUGAR SUGAR and GIANT BALLON which lay in. |
