7 J486  CHILL KAKA  28/06/2025   796  CHILL KAKA (J486) had its left front plate refitted in the Parade Ring. Was examined by the vet and passed suitable to race. After the event rider reported that his mount did not appear to appreciate the "Wet Slow” track conditions and also may have come to the end of its preparation. Following the race was examined by the vet who found that horse to have an epiglottic entrapment. Performance was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 796.

9 K094  NEW FOREST  28/06/2025   796  NEW FOREST (K094) when questioned rider stated that the instructions were to go forward and lead if possible. He said whilst his mount commenced well, the eventual winner, which was positioned to his inside, also jumped well and showed intent on holding a forward position. He said making the first turn he was able to improve past that runner where he held an advantage on the horse and he considered continuing forward to cross that runner. He said when he received a call from the rider of that runner, near the 1300M he formed the opinion that runner would maintain its position to his inside and for that reason he did not continue forward to cross that runner as he felt that would result in the pace of the event increasing which would have been to the detriment of his mount. He added that in hindsight, given the early stages of the event were run outside of standard time, he may have been better suited by continuing forward to cross the eventual winner - Race 796.
