He said when his mount commenced well he rode his mount along to ensure that he was able to cross runners to his inside. He added after obtaining the lead on the first turn he eased the pace to endeavour to comply with his instructions and have another horse cross his mount. He said however when no other runner showed the intent to lead his mount was able to hold the lead at a comfortable pace - Race 083.
