He said after being crossed in the early stages his mount raced keenly and did not settle for some distance thereafter. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 235.

Rider stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position. Trainer confirmed the instructions and stated that he issued those instructions on the basis that with sheepskin cheek pieces being applied in the event he was of the opinion the horse would show more pace and it would be difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight from back in the field - Race 273.
