8 8 CRYSTAL STEEL (CA255) Hammer-Hansen -- Ridden but outpaced and raced greenly at rear on fence. Ran past well beaten runners final 200 M.
9 12 JAMIESON (BV190) M W Leung B Niggled along but soon dropped to rear. Switched 6-wide rounding home bend, not come on in straight.
10 10 SALUT BEAUTE (CB189) B Marcus -- Around midfield to halfway where it hung out badly, soon dropped out tamely.
11 3 HOKKIEN ALL (BV341) E Legrix -- Ridden to dispute lead out wide, on leaders' hindquarters rounding home bend. Emptied on straightening and dropped away steadily.
12 9 A RUN OF LUCK (BV055) W M Lai -- Bounded in air and lost a lot of ground, ridden and recovered some ground towards rear out wide. Last turning in and stayed same thereafter.
