5 9 GRACIOUS FELLOW (CA265) K H Ting -- Settled worse than midfield. 10Ls off leader in the middle stages. Commenced run rounding the home bend, 3-wide and 6Ls behind into straight. Made up some steady ground final stages.
6 2 JADE RUYI (BV118) B Marcus -- Jumped awkwardly, at back. 10Ls off speed on rails passing the winning post the first time. Shifted out to commence run rounding home bend, 4-wide and 8Ls off leader into straight. Made up some ground.
7 7 CHIEF'S FORTUNE (BS222) S Dye -- Steadily restrained to the back. 2 to 3-wide, 10Ls behind until asked to catch up around 400 M. 5-wide and 8Ls off pace into straight. Made up some ground but never a threat.
8 12 MELROSE STAR (BS091) Y T Cheng SR Towards rear, stayed along the rails. 10Ls off pace middle stages. Saved ground on fence rounding the home bend when asked to commence run, 6Ls behind into straight. Made up steady ground, no extra close home.
9 8 CONSENSUS (CA112) S K Sit SR Broke well, midfield early. Steadily dropped towards rear at 1200 M, 9Ls off pace. Made no impression in straight.
