7 6 SNIPPEDYDOODA (CA207) D Whyte -- 2-wide handy 4th before failing to quicken upon straightening when shifted out to be 4-wide. Very much one- paced in straight.
8 12 KIMBER (BP155) S Dye -- Began fairly in early stages hung in and steadily dropped to tail. Till detached last turning in became unbalanced and dipped near 200 then made up some late headway passing beaten runners.
9 2 LOYAL DEVOTION (BV075) Hammer-Hansen -- Jumped quite well then outpaced behind midfield 3-wide. Brushed and carried wider 400 M out, not in contention in the straight.
10 11 JOKERS WILD (CA136) W M Lai -- Pushed along but failed to muster speed and was 4-wide without cover near rear. Inconvenienced and caught wider 400 M out, no impression thereafter.
11 8 MERRY MERRY (BV298) M W Leung -- Soon shifted across from widest barrier to be 4-wide behind leaders going into back stretch. Shifted closer to be 2- wide behind leader 800 M out. Began to tire 400 M out and dropped out quickly final 200 M.
