4 11 ALL THE GLORY (BN058) C Williams -- Well positioned on rails about 3Ls off pace 3rd. Crept closer from home turn and ran on well in straight. Led 200 M out but winner too good and headed near 100 M. Lost to placegetters final strides.

6 12 SIR GALWAY (BP018) S K Sit B From inside gate settled behind midfield along rails. Was crowded into running rail and checked after the 1200 M. Kept on steadily along rails in home straight.
7 9 TELECOM PRINCE (BP223) W Woods -- Raced midfield about 2-wide in 6th position. Under pressure 400 M out. Ran on steadily from 250 M until tired final stages.
8 5 LONGMARK (BT294) W C Marwing -- Jumped well from wide gate to race just outside leader PRECIOUS SWEETIE, maintaining 2nd position until 250 M out when one-paced and overhauled by rivals.
9 3 PRECIOUS SWEETIE (CB247) M W Leung -- Mustered speed to lead on rails until 250 M out. Unable to further sustain effort and weakened steadily final 200 M.
10 2 ME AND YOU (BT011) D Dunn -- Always behind midfield, racing 2-3 wide along back straight and moved out to race even wider from 600 M out, entering home stretch widest. Never a threat.
11 7 QUICK NEWS (CB178) B Fayd'herbe TT Jumped awkwardly. Pulled hard and became unbalanced behind heels at the 1000 M. Raced along fence towards rear and entered home straight last. No threat whatsoever.
12 4 CHOCOLATE TYCOON (BT257) F Coetzee B2 From wide gate was niggled to maintain 4th position racing 2-wide and about 5Ls off pace. Began to struggle running into home turn, behind midfield into straight, dropped out further.
