10 KENZAN (CB068) M Cahill -- Well away from widest gate, up there out wide early then eased to be 3 wide 2Ls behind leaders. Quickened well from 250 M to hit front 100 M out, comfortably.
8 GRAND FIGHTER (CA225) Y T Cheng B Held up 3 or 4 wide better than mid-division. Shifted out, became unbalanced when steadied near 600 M. Ran on well final 200 M to be nearest at finish, though no real threat to winner.
11 PAOBRIDGE (CB073) W C Marwing B Broke fairly, pressed on to dispute lead 3 wide. Very brief lead passing 200 M but no answer to winner's finishing kick when challenged, lost 2nd spot final stages. Hung in throughout.

7 CLASSIC JESTER (BP208) M W Leung B Jumped only fairly, quickly improved to be amongst leading trio on rail. Slender advantage 500 M out, then well clear turning in. Run ended inside 200 M, swamped and dropped out.
1 EXPEDIENT (BT046) E Legrix B1 Hard ridden to secure position in middle of leading trio. Struggled to keep up just before straightening, dropped away from 200 M.
