3 8 ST VIVANT (CB329) D Dunn B1/TT1 Missed the start slightly and niggled along to be 6Ls off pace on inner entering home turn. Under pressure after 600 M and moved closer turning in. Made steady ground in straight but was no match to first pair.
4 13 MEMBERS GLORY (CB325) Y T Cheng B Jumped awkwardly and was then inconvenienced. Ridden along in the early stages but outpaced at rear. 11Ls off pace on inner entering straight. Under pressure around 450 M and made up good ground final 250 M to be closest at finish.
5 4 TRAVELLER STAR (BT232) F Coetzee TT Broke well raced next to rail 2 to 4Ls through to straight, when put under pressure. Kept on same pace in the straight, no extra near finish.
6 11 MY DELIGHT (CA374) M W Leung -- Jumped very awkwardly and raced 8Ls off pace 5 to 6 wide through to straight, under pressure in the straight, was one paced before making up a little late ground. (Hung out badly throughout.)
7 5 ILIKETOSMILE (CA028) S K Sit B Raced 2 wide, 3 to 4Ls off pace through to straight, all out 4Ls down 400 M out, unable to get any closer and weakened in the concluding stages.

10 2 HIDDEN DRAGON (CB231) D Whyte SR1 Not break well, soon last. Recovered to be 4 wide about 8Ls off pace with little cover until entering turn, hung out badly and made the turn awkwardly, found nothing in the straight.
11 10 RORY'S BID (BP272) K K Lai B/TT Outpaced at rear 4 wide 9Ls off pace. Switched 5 wide entering straight, when put under pressure, kept on same pace to the line.
12 12 HANDSOME DRAGON (CB373) K C Tsang -- Slowly away. Always trailed field about 14Ls off pace and raced 2 wide, ran past a couple of beaten runners midway through the straight.
13 7 POT BLACK (CA079) H K Yim SR Broke fairly and ridden along 5Ls off pace 3 to 4 wide around mid-division through to straight. When put under pressure found nothing and faded 300 M out.
14 6 ALARM CLOCK (BV217) C Williams -- Ridden to race 3 wide 3Ls off pace, commence to lose position 500 M out and soon became detached in home straight. (Significant amount of blood in trachea.)
