9 5 HELENE ELEGANCE (CB004) D Dunn -- Sat 2-wide 1L off lead 900 M out, over-raced on the turn and restrained to be 2Ls down entering straight, didn't come on and was beaten 200 M out.
10 1 ARMONDO (CB387) C Williams -- Checked 1000 M out, travelled 4-wide 3Ls off speed 900 M out, similarly placed and driven along off the home turn, soon outpaced.
11 6 EASTERN PURPLE (CB317) K S Yu B Raced 4Ls off pace out 4-wide 1000 M out, looped field racing 4-wide to lead turning for home, headed again and was beating a hasty retreat 300 M out. (Lame.)
