2 5 OPERA MAGIC (CB404) K H Ting -- Broke fairly. Raced fairly and soon in midfield. Under pressure around 350 M and made up good ground to grab 2nd place on the line but failed to catch the winner.
3 1 GREEN FINDER (CB011) A Marcus B1/TT Prominent. Led narrowly at 250 M. Headed at 100 M when asked stayed same paced and was grabbed by 2nd placegetter on the line.
4 10 GOLDIE (CB117) G Schofield -- Jumped fairly and raced towards the rear. When asked 350 M out responded well and made up good ground only to miss the placings by a short margin.
5 2 GOLD CHARM (BV085) S K Sit B Well there to 600 M failed to quicken in the final stages.
6 3 TABBRIS (CB088) D Dunn B Jumped well and niggled along to be better than midfield. Improved from 400 M to be every chance but failed to find any extra and stayed same pace to the line.
7 9 TRIUMPHANT STAR (BS248) G Mosse B Jumped well and stayed in touch with leaders until 200 M. No extra and kept on one-paced to the line.
8 11 UNIVERSAL PEGASUS (CA135) E Legrix SR/TT Broke well and niggled along to lead on rail until 300 M. Soon unable to find an extra gear and was overhauled in the concluding stages.
9 8 FAST TRACK (CB375) K C Tsang P Jumped clearly and raced in mid-division but unable to quicken when asked and stayed one-paced to the line.
10 6 TAKING THE LEAD (CB275) E Saint-Martin -- Jumped awkwardly and rider became momentarily unbalanced. Soon recovered to race in mid-division until 250 M out. Did not respond when asked and gradually weakened in the concluding stages.
11 4 MARIPOSA (CA342) W C Marwing -- Tardy start and raced at back. Never a factor.
12 14 MY LOYAL FRIEND (CB321) K S Yu -- On jumping was contacted and lost some ground. Niggled along but unable to keep up to be towards the rear. Over the concluding stages raced ungenerously, hung out and ran past couple of beaten runners.
13 13 GIDDY KIPPER (CB303) R Quinn SR Broke fairly and raced in the rear section through to 400 M. When put under pressure found nothing and faded 300 M out.
14 7 BLISS OF HEAVEN (CB323) F Coetzee B1 Broke awkwardly. Soon raced better than midfield through to 400 M. Steadily dropped back from 300 M.
