5 12 SEASONS TREASURE (CB310) R Fradd -- Taken back early to race near the rear. Ridden from 500 M out without much progress but closed the race off nicely after seeing daylight in the final 150 M.
6 10 PRIZE WINNER (CC065) G Schofield SR On fence at midfield. Shifted 2-wide after 1000 M and improved position slightly after 600 M. Unable to pick up when pressured in the straight.
7 6 GREENMORE (BT194) M W Leung B Jumped awkwardly and was soon racing in last place. Raced near the back and made up good ground in the closing stages.
8 9 CLASSA VICTORY (CB174) T Mundry -- 2-wide behind midfield in the early stages. Improved to midfield but 4-wide after 1000 M and was urged to keep pace 600 M out. Stayed one-paced in the straight.
9 1 SONGS OF PRAISE (CB005) K T Yeung B 2-wide and just behind the leaders before settling at midfield after 1600 M. Continued to be at midfield but 3-wide in back straight. Caught widest turning in and ran on without threatening.
10 3 RAINBOW AND GOLD (CA024) D Dunn SR/V Slowly away. On fence in rear section throughout. Made no impression in the straight. (Bled.)
11 8 SPRINTER (CA067) Y T Cheng -- Ridden hard get to the front but was caught very wide at the first turn. Settled 2-wide and a length behind pace after 1400 M. Ridden hard to keep up after 500 M and weakened in the straight.
12 5 TOP PRIZE (CC097) W Woods B1 3-wide and in rear section in the early and middle stages. Hung out badly and dropped further to last place after 1200 M. Trailed field into home straight and weakened thereafter.
