2 4 MILLENNIUM SPIRIT (BV221) C Soumillon -- Jumped fairly and soon settled in worse than midfield 2-wide. At 600 M went forward from the outside to be 1L off leader on straightening. Responded fairly when asked 300 M out but was no match with winner in the final 100 M.
3 9 HAPPY CONTENDER (CC152) C K Tong BO Ridden along in better than midfield 2-wide and raced keenly early. Ridden along at home bend to hold position and was crowded shortly after straightening. Kept on fairly when asked 300 M out to grab 3rd near finish.
4 7 THE PIONEER (CC110) J Spencer SR/TT Ridden along to take up running on rail with no more than 1-1/2L advantage through to straight. Only able to run on evenly when asked 300 M out and was overhauled by 3rd placegetter near the line.
5 11 ENORMOUS WAY (BV136) W Woods -- Soon eased to the rear section on rail. Switched to the outside and made steady progress at home bend. Made up little ground in straight to be closest at finish.
6 2 CHATER LANE (CB339) D Whyte B/SR Broke fairly and raced in midfield on rail and hung in in the back straight. Under pressure at 700 M and made up steady ground to be 1L off leader on straightening. Was held up in straight and was not properly tested.
7 5 DEEP PURPLE (CB251) G Mosse B Slowly away and pushed along to race in midfield 2-wide. Shortly after the 600 M was checked when disappointed for running. Unable to quicken in straight and stayed one-paced to the line.
8 1 SEASONS TREASURE (CB310) R Fradd -- Soon eased to rear section 2-wide. Switched out and ridden along to go forward turning for home. Kept on one-paced in straight and only ran past several beaten runners inside final 150 M.
9 3 UNIVERSAL CHARGER (BV172) C Williams B Slow to begin and raced at the tail on rail. Ridden along from 600 M and switched out on straightening but failed to quicken in straight and kept on one pace to the line.
10 6 DIAMOND MOON (CB019) K Fallon V/TT Jumped well and raced in better than midfield on rail. Under pressure at home bend to maintain position shortly after straightening was checked when crowded for room and steadily faded thereafter.
11 12 FLORAL DANCER (CA259) V Espinoza -- Ridden along to race 1L off leader 2-wide. Commenced to give ground shortly after the 600 M. Dropped out in straight.
12 10 CLAWS OF THUNDER (CB292) M Dwyer TT Niggled along to race in midfield or better out wide without cover. Commenced to give ground after the 800 M and tailed out in straight.
