2 10 MASTERY (CC176) M W Leung -- Soon settled in a rearward position on rail. After the 800 M was steadied when awkwardly placed on heels. Switched out on straightening to find clear running and made up steady ground inside final 200 M to take 2nd place.
3 9 WINNING KEVIN (CD051) A Delpech B- Broke fairly from wide draw and steadily eased to the rear section 2-wide. Around the 700 M niggled along to go forward to be in midfield on straightening. Ran on fairly when asked 250 M out to grab 3rd over the final stages.
4 11 XLERATE (CB224) D Whyte B Ridden along to race in a prominent position 2-wide. Went forward to race outside leader going up the Rock. Under pressure and took lead around the 500 M mark. Headed soon after the 200 M mark and kept on one pace.
5 1 KIDDY SING (CD005) R Fradd SR Was tightened for room shortly after the start and raced near the tail on inner. Switched wide on straightening to obtain clear running. Kept on evenly when asked 250 M out and only ran past weakening runners inside final 200 M.
6 6 CELEBRATION (CB029) H K Yim V Shortly after the start was tightened for room and niggled along to race in midfield on rail. Shuffled back to worse than midfield at back straight. Under pressure 250 M out but only able to run on evenly to the line.
7 5 JAZZ BEAT (CC172) G Schofield -- Tardy start from widest and pushed along to race in midfield 2-wide. Switched out and made little progress turning for home. Only kept on evenly in straight and further weakened over the concluding stages.
8 8 NILOMETER (CD052) F Coetzee -- Broke fairly and niggled along to race in better than midfield 2-wide. Improved to prominent position down back straight. One-paced in straight and weakened steadily inside final 200 M.
9 2 CHEERS HONG KONG (CA172) A Marcus -- Began well and pushed along to race in midfield or worse 2 to 3-wide. Hard ridden to hold position and steadily switched to the widest at the home bend. Made no impression in the straight.
10 12 EVER SUCCESS (CB229) D Dunn B Best out and settled in better then midfield on rail. Steadily dropped to midfield at back straight. Under pressure at home bend but continued to give ground steadily and laboured to the finish.
11 4 DYNAMIC FUN (CB281) S Dye B Began fairly from wide draw and niggled along to race in a forward position out wide in the early stages. Took up running on rail passing winning post first time. Headed near the 500 M and gave ground quickly in straight.
12 3 EQUATOR KID (CC134) G Mosse -- Hard ridden in the early stages to force the issue on rail. Headed winning post first time to be in prominent position. Under pressure to maintain position at home bend. No extra in straight and tailed out inside final 200 M.
