2 12 TIRAMISU (CB386) P H Lo V Broke fairly and pushed along to race in a prominent position 2-wide. Steadily edged forward to join leader at home bend. Ran on fairly in straight. Was bumped and became unbalanced 100 M. (Finished 3rd, placed 2nd.)
3 6 NEW FACE (CA387) P Payne SR-/B1 Jumped fairly and soon raced in better than midfield 2-wide through to straight. Responded well when asked 250 M out but was unable to match speed with the winner over the concluding stages. (Finished 2nd, placed 3rd.)
4 10 FLYING SUCCESS (CB113) J Holder -- Broke fairly from wide draw and pushed along to race in worse than midfield 2-wide. Made little headway at home turn and switched wide on straightening. Made up some ground inside final 200 M to be closest at finish.
5 2 SEASONS TREASURE (CB310) D Whyte -- On jumping became badly unbalanced and lost ground. Soon recovered to race in midfield 2-wide through to straight. Under pressure 250 M out and made up little ground inside final 200 M.
6 7 FRUITY FRUITY (CD061) G Schofield -- Niggled along to race in midfield or better out wide without cover through to straight. Under pressure 250 M out but only able to run on evenly to the line.
7 1 SERIOUS PLAY (CC003) H W Lai -- On jumping was crowded for room and checked. Raced in a rearward position on rail to straight. Made up little ground inside final 200 M when asked 250 M out.
8 4 SENSIBLE WAY (CA175) W M Lai B Broke well and soon took up running on the rail. Tackled by 2nd placegetters rounding the home turn. Unable to quicken in straight and further weakened inside the final 200 M.
9 11 RISING WIN (CC089) C Williams SR On jumped was crowded for room and checked. Raced in worse than midfield on rail. Switched out on straightening to obtain clear running but only able to run on evenly to the line.
10 3 ARMONDO (CB387) T Mundry B Broke fairly from widest and steadily taken back to the tail on rail through to straight. Unable to make any impression when asked 300 M out.
11 9 BARAKA (CD284) A Delpech -- Soon raced in a rearward position around 2-wide through to straight. Kept on same pace in the straight.
12 8 GOOD WIN (CB235) G Mosse -- On jumping became badly unbalanced and lost ground. Soon recovered to race in midfield on rail but proved difficult to settle in the early stages. No extra in straight and steadily dropped out inside final 200 M.
