11 SNIPPEDYDOODA (CA207) C Williams -- Worse than midfield when covered up on fence about 4Ls or 5Ls off pace through to home straight, stayed on strongly through closing stages, never nearer.
3 STARDANE (CD299) O Doleuze -- On fence about 3Ls or 4Ls off the pace in midfield through to home straight, picked up well to be 2Ls down disputing 3rd at the 200 M, kept on well.
5 SAINT THOMAS (CD200) A Marcus B/TT Slowly away, raced a bit freely at 1000 M, 4Ls behind in midfield when 2-wide at 800 M, 3-wide into home straight, ran on fairly well but never threatened winner.
13 CLASSA FOR EVER (CD085) H W Lai -- Stumbled on exiting, led at 1200 M, never clear by much more than 1L through to home straight, headed 300 M out, no extra and soon passed for place money.
6 MY CHOICE (CC283) B Doyle SR Raced prominently but 3-wide without cover down the back when 2Ls or 3Ls behind in 4th or 5th, pressed on to be 2Ls down disputing 3rd into straight, all out to be same at 200 M, weakened.
1 GOOD PROFIT (CD389) G Mosse -- 4-wide without cover early in rear about 8Ls behind, gained cover from 800 M, 3-wide into home straight when about 7Ls off the speed and still in rear, made some late headway final 200 M.
9 MOVE IT (CD211) T Mundry -- Slowly away, towards rear about 6Ls off pace down the back and into home straight, made some headway 4Ls down in midfield at the 200 M, couldn't sustain effort.
2 BEARCAT (CC038) F Coetzee -- Best away, had the run of the race on fence 2Ls off the speed in 3rd until straightening for home, found not a great deal.
12 KA KA WIN (CD006) S Dye B2 About 8Ls last on fence from backstretch to home straight, ran on past a few tired rivals late on.
10 DASHING WINNER (CA018) A Delpech SR/TT1 Never better than midfield at any stage, always about 3-wide and 6Ls off the speed until turning for home when 4-wide, no impression.
14 CZAR OF PRUSSIA (CB378) C K Tong -- Nicely placed about 3Ls off the speed in 5th and 2-wide from 900 M to home turn, didn't find much off the bridle.
7 NOBLE SILENCE (CD238) D Whyte -- Bounded and lost ground at the jump, briefly 4-wide at 1000 M when 4Ls off pace in midfield, same when 4-wide into home straight and niggled along, beaten over 200 M out.
4 THE KING (CD384) D Dunn -- Always very wide and worse than midfield, left 4-wide without cover from 800 M out, 5-wide (widest of all) into home straight, faded out.
