2 4 BULLISH GENERAL (CD034) K M Chin TT Crowded for room at start and ridden to race in a forward position. Steadied at 1200 M when closed to heels. Soon recovered to race 1L off pace 3 wide. Ran on well in straight but just failed to overhaul the winner.
3 9 PRESENT TREASURE (CC077) R Fradd -- Broke with field and soon settled in midfield or worse position on rail through to straight. Ran on quite well when asked 350 M out but was never in position to trouble the 1st pair to settle for 3rd place.
4 14 SOUND OF SILENCE (CD136) A Delpech -- Broke best from widest and steadily settled in midfield around 3 wide with cover. Steadily switched to the outside on straightening to obtain clear running. Ran on fairly when asked 350 M out but without threatening.
5 11 CENAMIRA (CD129) K S Yu -- From a wide gate was quickly eased to the back but closer to the rail. In last place turning into straight, under pressure 400 M out and made up good ground inside final 250 M to be closest at finish.
6 3 FLASH HARRY (CB180) Y T Cheng SR/CO Bounded in the air and lost ground. Niggled along to recover lost ground to be in midfield on fence. Switched away from the rail and made little headway at home bend. Ran on fairly in straight but became one-pace 150 M.
7 10 GREAT STAR (CB122) C W Wong B/TT Hard ridden along in the early stages to be in better than midfield 2 wide. Crept closer and switched out rounding the home bend. Unable to quicken in straight and kept on same pace to the line.
8 2 FOREVER WIN (CC069) O Chavez B Began fairly from wide draw and steadily eased to a rearward position around 3 wide with cover through to straight. Only able to run on evenly to the line when asked 350 M out.
9 13 MASTER SPIRIT (CE067) M W Leung H Soon eased to a rearward position 2 wide through to straight. Kept on same pace in straight and ran past several beaten runners inside final 250 M.
10 6 LUCKY TRIO (CB199) H W Lai B/TT Began fairly and ridden along to take lead on rail with around 1L advantage to straight. Soon headed shortly after the 400 M mark and further weakened inside final 200 M.
11 7 SOLAR POWER (CE047) W M Lai -- Ridden along to race in a forward position on rail through to straight. No extra when asked 400 M out and steadily faded inside final 250 M.
12 8 CASH SURPRISE (CD312) D Holland -- Broke with field from wide draw and steadily eased to the back closer to rail through to straight. Failed to make any impression when asked 350 M out.
13 5 CHAMPION WINNER (CB458) C Williams -- From an outside draw was steadily eased to midfield 2 wide through to straight. Unable to quicken when asked 350 M out and was eased down near the 200 M. (Bled.)
