5 5 PACKING ANGEL (CB223) O Doleuze -- Dropped back to race 3-wide in a rearward position and maintained similar position into home straight. Closed the race off fairly.
6 6 INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS (CC317) E Saint-Martin -- Settled 2-wide behind midfield. Crept a bit closer at home turn. Continued steadily in the straight before being held up for some distance after 200 M. One-paced thereafter.
7 11 WINTROW (CC175) D Whyte -- Raced behind leaders early stages. Settled 2-wide at midfield after 1200 M. Made up a bit of ground home turn but only kept on same pace in the straight.
8 3 BEETHOVEN (CC133) G Mosse B Had the early lead. Stayed a length off the lead in 2-wide position middle stages. Prominent position behind leader into home straight but unable to find extra thereafter.
9 4 GREAT DELIGHT (CC291) S Dye B Took the lead at 1300 M and held a 2L advantage into home straight. Unable to sustain effort and was swamped inside 300 M.
10 7 DR MORE (BV164) M Rodd B Jumped well and was allowed to drop back and settle in a rearward position. Checked and remained near the back on straightening. Made no impression in the straight.
11 2 ROOSEVELT (CD115) S Sanders -- Sluggish start and was ridden hard to make up ground. Settled on fence at midfield after 1200 M. Commenced to weaken at the home turn and finished tailed out.
