2 9 MR BEAUTIFUL (CB057) D Whyte -- Broke with field and soon settled in worse than midfield on rail. Switched out and made little headway at home turn. Ran on well when asked 250 M out but was not in position to trouble the winner.
3 4 VICTORY TREASURE (CE031) M Rodd -- Jumped fairly and ridden along to take lead on rail with no more than 1L advantage to straight. Ran on fairly but was headed near the 200 M and became one-paced in the final stages.
4 7 RISING WIN (CC089) C Williams CP1 Began well from wide draw and steadily settled in midfield or worse around 2-wide. Made steady headway from the outside at home turn. Ran on fairly when asked 250 M out but just failed to run down the 3rd placegetter.
5 6 MAMOUSKA (CB444) E Saint-Martin B Broke with field and pushed along to race in a handy position on rail through to straight. All out 200 M and plugged on fairly without threatening the placegetters.
6 12 KING OF SPADES (CC056) S K Sit B Unable to muster early speed to race at the tail on rail. Switched out on straightening to obtain clear running. Made up some ground inside final 200 M to be closest at finish.
7 10 JUST TOO GOOD (CB150) B Prebble V2 Jumped along and soon raced in midfield or better 2-wide. Switched out and crept closer to the leader rounding the home turn. Only able to run on evenly to the line when asked 250 M out.
8 5 WINNING RONGRONG (CD081) F Coetzee BO/TT Broke fairly and pushed along to race 1/2L down outside the leader. Ridden along to maintain position at home turn. Unable to quicken when asked 250 M out and only kept on same pace to the line.
9 11 EASY GAME (CC346) S Dye -- Pushed along to race in midfield on rail whilst hanging out for majority of the race and checked at 600 M to avoid heels. Unable to show much running in home straight.
10 2 BROWN BEAUTY (CC029) O Chavez V Stood flat-footed at the start and dropped to the rear around 2-wide. Raced 3-wide without cover running down back straight. Made no impression in home straight.
11 3 BARRACUDA (CB320) W M Lai -- Broke fairly from widest and ridden along to race in midfield around 2-wide. Under pressure at home turn to maintain position. No extra in straight and steadily faded inside final 200 M.
12 1 CLASSIC KING (CD256) M W Leung B/TT Tardy start from wide draw and soon raced in a rearward position around 2-wide. Commenced to give ground at home turn and tailed out in straight.
