2 2 CRYSTAL (CE209) S Dye -- Pushed along to race in midfield on rail through to straight. Ran on well when asked 400 M out but was unable to find an extra gear to run down the winner.
3 14 PERFECT MISSION (CC306) O Chavez SR Broke with field and steadily eased to the back on rail through to straight. Made up steady ground inside final 250 M to snatch 3rd on the line.
4 12 SUPER PRINCE (CD126) M Rodd B/TT Jumped fairly and niggled along to race in better than midfield 2 wide. Crept closer to the leader rounding the home bend. Ran on fairly when asked 350 M out but was overhauled by 3rd placegetter on the line.
5 3 LOTZATOW (CD397) A Delpech -- Jumped fairly from wide draw steadily settled in a rearward position around 3 wide with cover. Made some headway from the outside at home turn. Made some impression inside final 200 M to miss the placings by a short margin.
6 6 FAIR WIN (CE027) G Mosse -- Broke well from wide draw and soon raced in midfield or worse around 3 wide with cover. Switched wide on straigh- tening to obtain clear running. Under pressure 400 M out and made up little ground inside final 200 M.
7 4 MR COOL (CD071) H W Lai B/TT Broke well and pushed along to take up running on rail with no more than 1/2L advantage to straight. Plugged on fairly when asked 400 M out but was headed near the 200 M and became one-pace thereafter.
8 7 ABERDEEN (CE182) R Fradd -- Jumped awkwardly from wide draw and raced in a rearward position 2 wide. Switched to the middle on straightening to find clear running but was baulked for a run in early straight. Made little impression inside final 200 M.
9 11 WIKI WIKI (CD205) C Williams -- Broke fairly and niggled along to race in midfield or better 3 wide with cover through to straight. Under pressure 400 M out but was unable to quicken and only run on evenly to the line.
10 13 TRAVEL LEADER (CD226) Y T Cheng SR Broke well from widest but was unable to muster early speed to race towards the rear 4 wide without cover. Went forward from the outside at home bend. Only able to run on evenly at home straight.
11 1 AMBITIOUS TYCOON (CB157) O Doleuze SR- Best out and ridden along to race 1/2L off leader through to straight. Kept on same pace when asked 400 M out and further weakened inside final 250 M.
12 5 ROCKET WIN (CE249) W M Lai B1 Tardy start and soon raced in the rear section on rail. Switched out on straightening to obtain clear running but failed to make any impression in straight.
13 8 SPY KING (CE205) K H Chan -- Broke with field from wide draw and ridden along to race in a prominent position 3 wide without cover. Made the home turn awkwardly and gave ground steadily in straight.
14 10 MADE JOY (CD114) G Schofield -- Pushed along to race in better than midfield on rail. Near the 450 M commenced to give ground and tailed out in straight. (Bled.)
