4 9 BEAR DOMINANCE (CD235) M Rodd B Slowly away and raced in a rearward position 2-wide. Pushed along and made little headway from the outside at home bend. Plugged on fairly to the line when asked 300 M out.
5 1 LUCKSWELL (CA171) R Fradd -- Jumped fairly and niggled along to race in a forward position on rail through to home straight. Under pressure 300 M out but unable to go up a gear and only kept on evenly to the line.
6 7 CALIFORNIA BISHOP (CD351) K W Tsui TT Began well and niggled along to take up running on rail with around 1L advantage. Headed shortly after turning into home straight, only kept on same pace when asked 250 M out and slightly weakened in final stages.
7 8 MEATH (CE143) G Schofield CP- Broke with field and settled in midfield or worse on rail. Near the 1600 M steadied when closed to heels. Ridden along to maintain position round the home bend, unable to show much running in home straight.
8 10 CYPRESS HILL (CE061) C K Tong V Began awkwardly and was unable to muster early speed to race at the rear on rail through to straight. Failed to make any impression when asked 250 M out.
9 3 DR WELL (CD165) A Delpech -- Best out from wide draw and niggled along to race in a forward position 2-wide. Commenced to give ground rounding the home turn and tailed out in straight.
10 2 COME SEE YOU (CA368) S Dye CP/TT Soon settled in a rearward position 3-wide and near the 1000 M was eased out of the race.
