5 3 NORTHERNER (CD293) G Mosse -- Average to begin, restrained at start and taken quickly to fence, raced on rails last 9L from lead throughout, closed to be 6L from lead 3 wide on straightening, made up significant ground late between horses.
6 12 FORTUNE SMILES (CB432) C Munce -- Jumped well, showed good speed to cross to lead passing post first time, rolled along in front at good clip, pinched 2L lead passing 600 M, lead until 200 M mark but quickly collared and battled rest of straight.
7 4 FIGHTING MASCOT (CB426) A Delpech -- Average to begin, eased out of it early, settled 5th from rear 2-wide 7L from front runners travelled comfortably throughout, tracked through to be 4th from lead on turn, came 4 wide in straight but showed little turn of foot.
8 6 DASHING CHAMPION (CC015) G Schofield SR Slow to begin, mustered speed to hold spot behind the leaders, had soft trip in middle section, pushed along to make ground at 500 M, came 2 wide in straight but only battled away.
9 9 MILLENNIUM SPIRIT (BV221) P H Lo TT Fair to begin, settled 2nd last 2 wide 9L from pace, tracked along in middle stages, asked to improve from 500 M but showed little under pressure, passed tiring runners in last 200 M.
