2 7 DANSOLDE (CE157) C Munce B Settled 2-wide behind midfield early stages. Improved to be closer to midfield in the back straight. Switched out on straightening and quickened to the lead at 200 M. Headed final 100 M and unable to fight back.
3 14 SPECTACULAR HIT (CC194) H W Lai -- Outpaced and raced 2-wide in rear section. 3-wide making home turn and produced a nice rally in the straight to claim a minor placing.
4 1 CHALLENGER (CE138) S Sanders B/TT Raced along the fence and no better than midfield. Switched out and ran on well in the straight to make the frame.
5 6 SUNDAY DELIGHT (CC225) E Saint-Martin -- Kept within 3Ls of the pace early stages. Settled on fence at midfield back straight. Steadily picked up on straightening but ran into some traffic at 300 M. Made up some late ground when clear and was closest at finish.
6 3 ELEPHANT DANCE (CA391) C Soumillon -- Jumped well and raced among leaders early stages. 2-wide and stayed within a length of the pace from 1200 M until home straight, hit the front briefly 300 M but found no more to stay in hunt final stages.
7 13 SPEED OF LIGHT (CC333) Y T Cheng TT Raced 2-wide and no worse than midfield. 4Ls off the lead at 1200 M and steadily improved to be 2Ls down on straightening. Kept on fairly in the early part of the straight but was one-paced final 200 M.
8 10 SPECIFIC SORCEROR (CA321) C Brown B Eased to the rear. Remained in rear section in back straight and was last to enter home straight. Ran on well and steadily made up ground.
9 9 FORTUNE GOLD (CD343) A Delpech -- Raced wide among leaders into first turn before dropping to midfield for cover. Remained near midfield and raced 3-wide back straight. Chased along early home straight but found no extra final stages.
10 5 PACIFIC ALLIANCE (CC230) G Mosse H1/TT Ridden out of the gates and was 4-wide among leaders into first turn. 3-wide and no more than 3Ls off the pace back straight. Unable to quicken when pressured on straightening and faded closing stages.
11 8 JOYFUL UNION (CE239) H K Yim B1 Slowly away and settled at the rear. Remained in rear section into home straight. Only ran past a pair of tiring runners.
12 4 TRAVEL LEADER (CD226) G Schofield SR/TT1 3-wide in a forward position into first turn. Led field into back straight. Kept a slight advantage going into home straight but was swamped near 200 M.
13 12 LAZY BUDDIES (CC208) K H Chan B Jumped well and took the early lead. Overtaken in the back straight but kept pace behind the leader until straightening. Weakened final 200 M.
