8 AMPLE GAINS (CE021) O Doleuze B Away with them, pushed along to hold position, just off midfield 3Ls away, 2 wide in traffic in mid-section, tracked nicely to turn 1 to 2Ls away, angled into clear at 300 M and sprinted hard to win with some authority.
10 PACKING ANGEL (CB223) H W Lai P2 Broke with rest, pressed forward to be in prominent spot 1 out 1 back 2Ls off lead, had run of race thereafter, moved up to challenge 1L away on turn, hit lead 300 M out and fought on strongly, found winner too good.
3 WHATABOB (CD213) C Soumillon B-/P2 Taken in behind from start, settled in 2nd last position, 2 wide 5Ls away, lobbed along at tail throughout, tracked 3 wide on turn, made run between horses in straight, closed strongly to be nearest at finish.
2 STABLE MAIL (CE184) F Coetzee -- Began evenly, lacked early dash and drifted back to midfield 3 to 4Ls away, raced 3 wide with cover in mid-section, moved up to be 2Ls away on turn, kept giving but covering extra ground took toll and lacked usual finish.
12 STRONG SUN (CB305) W M Lai TT1 Away with field, lost ground when checked early, raced in last spot 6Ls away, 3 wide off track in middle stages, made 4 wide run with cover from 800 M, closed race off evenly without threatening.
4 GREAT ACHIEVEMENT (CD250) G Mosse TT Fastest into stride, unable to slot in from wide alley, trapped 3 and 4 wide midfield 3Ls away, pushed along to be 1L away on turn (always working), moved up to challenge in straight but ran out of gas and plugged home.
7 THE KING (CD384) D Dunn B/TT Amongst the best to begin, in mix early but couldn't match it for speed, eventually settled outside leader, rolled to front at mid-point, held 1/2L entering straight but offered little when asked and weakened out, used too much early.
1 FIVE GRAINS (CB280) K T Yeung -- Away with line, pushed along to contest early lead, finally settled 3 back on fence 3 to 4Ls away, enjoyed soft trip in mid-section, never really comfortable, hard ridden into straight and battled to line.
5 RUM SHOT (CE206) Y T Cheng B Average to begin, ridden hard to go forward 4 wide early, caught 4 wide without cover outside leaders thereafter, always doing a power of work, began to lose touch entering straight and dropped right out.
6 WEALTHY TREASURE (CC270) C Munce -- Bounced out fairly, allowed to stride forward to take up useful position behind early leader, enjoyed run of race on rails 2Ls away, began to lose touch from 700 M, weakened right out in straight to be well beaten.
9 LUCKY SIXER (CC103) C W Wong -- Pushed along from start, used up early to cross to lead from wide alley, pressured throughout when trying to get breather, crossed at 800 M and never looked likely, lost touch to be well beaten in straight.
