8 CENTURY SUPER STAR (CE070) O Doleuze V-/BO1 Away with rest, positioned nicely off speed in 1 out 1 back spot, had run of race 2 to 3Ls away, travelled well behind horses on turning, gained split at 250 M and surged to lead, held on well for deserved win.
10 HAPPY MASTER (CE050) G Mosse SR Broke well, unable to match them early and drifted into midfield spot, had good run following eventual winner, 4Ls off pace, amongst traffic early in straight, came to outside last 200 M and closed off nicely. (Rider questioned.)
5 TOY QUEST (CC036) S Dye -- Slowly into stride, assumed rearward role 6Ls from leaders, made good ground in mid-section, came with 3 wide run 2 to 3Ls down on turn, 4 wide into straight, challenged for most of straight but weakened last bit.
6 PROGRESSING TIMES (CC231) M W Leung TT Jumped with them, ridden up to hold spot 3 to 4Ls away on rails, travelled kindly in mid-section, crowded and still in traffic on turn, held up until 200 M, finished off evenly when clear to make frame.
7 ISLAND SPEED (CG202) A Delpech -- Fast into stride, settled in prime spot behind leader, had easy time in mid-section, travelled well in behind them on turn, had no clear run for most of straight, got clear only after 200 M when it was over.
1 KEEN FLYER (CB330) K T Yeung B-/TT Left gates well, driven forward to take up running, kept them going at a reasonable speed, pressured on turn, 1/2L clear on straightening, lead until 200 M but couldn't sustain effort and weakened late.
9 DEMINER (CG184) D Whyte -- Began with them, rolled forward to sit outside leader 1L away, pressured to hold spot by outside horses, unable to relax and niggled on turn, challenged until 200 M but offered nothing when asked and was one paced to line.
12 SILVER WRAITH (CE178) H W Lai B1 Average to begin, hard ridden to circle field and challenge outside leaders, 4 wide without cover throughout, always working to turn, unable to find when asked for effort and weakened after tough run. (Rider questioned.)
2 CELEBRATION (CB029) C W Wong B-/SR2 Standard break, showed no speed early, hard ridden 10Ls away detached from main body, began to steadily make ground to turn, closed gap in straight but only managed to pass tired runners late.
3 GENERAL SPEEDEE (CG193) W M Lai -- First to leave barrier, didn't have speed to lead, forced to race 3 wide without cover, always working in mid-section, still there on turn, didn't find much when asked and failed to finish off after hard run.
4 FOREVER FORTUNE (CG145) N Ryan -- Began with them, lacked early speed, settled down 7Ls away, gradually lost touch to turn under hard riding, faded out of it gradually in straight. Inexperienced and definitely needed run.
11 VITAL SPARK (CE292) M Odendaal TT1 Lost 5Ls at start, slowly into stride thereafter, ridden up to be 12Ls down on turn, still last on straightening, hard ridden but made no impression in straight. Beaten a long way. (Bled.)
