3 HONEST TREASURE (CE200) E Saint-Martin B/TT 3-back on fence about 4Ls back in 5th or so until home turn, picked up well to lead 200 M, hung left under pressure and just hung on to win.
9 MEDIC LEGION (CE162) G Mosse -- 5Ls back in 7th when 2-wide at 1000 M until turning for home, headway when briefly short of room about 250 M out, soon clear and rallied well but post came a few strides too soon.
12 FIRST KNIGHT (CB357) F Coetzee B In about 8th place 4-back on fence and no better than about 6Ls off pace until home turn, improved to 2Ls down amid chasing pack at 200 M, kept on well but lacked dash of quinella pair.
13 SILVER WRAITH (CE178) C W Wong B Good effort despite a wide trip, 3-wide no cover 4Ls or 5Ls off pace in midfield from 1000 M to home turn, quickened up to be 1L down in 5th at the 200 M, lost a place in final strides.
5 DEERFIELD (CG038) A Delpech -- Restrained in rear about 10Ls off pace at halfway, about 8Ls behind swinging for home, made some decent late progress down centre of track, nearest at the finish.
14 DOUBLE FANTASY (CG141) Y T Cheng B Slowest away, keen at the 100 M when worse than midfield about 6Ls off pace, 5Ls down off final bend and made some minor late ground in the finish.
10 FEEL-SO-GOOD (CG056) K L Chui B- 3Ls off speed in 4th out 2-wide at 1000 M, similarly placed taking the home turn, moderate headway but never really dangerous.
1 WINE WIN (CG018) K T Yeung TT Away well, 2Ls off pace out 2-wide in 2nd at 1000 M, 1L down in 2nd off final turn, led briefly at the 300 M but petered out inside final 150 M.
7 CHEEKY LAD (CG198) D Nikolic B1 Great spot on fence in 3rd through to home straight, 3Ls down at 800 M and within 1L of the speed off final turn, given every possible hope and still faded tamely final 200 M.
4 TREMENDOUS PLUS (CG275) B Prebble -- Mostly caught 4-wide no cover through first half in rear and at least 7Ls from the lead, gained cover on the circle but still 6Ls behind into homestretch, never troubled principals.
8 FRONTIER (CH023) M W Leung -- 3-wide down backstretch towards rear at least 6Ls off pace, caught 4-wide no cover on the circle and slipped back to last on straightening, no impression.
2 KINGSTON WINNER (CC024) W M Lai B Went back to 12th place about 8Ls off early speed, not much closer taking the final turn, staying on only one-paced when 4Ls down at the 200 M but weakened again late.
11 UNIVERSAL PIONEER (CB293) S K Sit B2/TT Driven along to lead by 1L on fence at 1100 M out, set a fraction too strong a pace and capitulated once headed inside the 300 M.
