11 EVER BRIGHT (CG223) D Nikolic -- 3-wide with cover in midfield 4Ls off early pace, crept closer on the circle to be 1L off pace in 4th while hemming in FUJI SUNRISE at home turn, led 300 M out, always holding a break.
5 FUJI SUNRISE (CD100) B Prebble B2 3Ls back in 5th and 2-wide at 1400 M, closer into straight but prevented by EVER BRIGHT from getting out, no clear run until the 300 M, stayed on well late but always just held.
14 CARRIZO CREEK (CE132) K T Yeung B 5Ls off pace with cover in 8th at 1000 M, edged closer about 3Ls down in midfield taking home turn, lacked the dash of quinella pair but ran on well for 3rd.
3 BULLISH CASH (CH049) E Saint-Martin TT Always over-racing in rear about 8Ls off the speed out 3-wide but with cover, 5Ls back in 11th off final bend, ran on well late for creditable 4th.
9 ELECTRONICS SPUR (CE285) K L Chui TT Held 2nd place about 1L off pace out 2-wide until the 600 M, briefly led at top of home straight but headed by winner at 300 M, tired a little final 100 M.
8 PRETTY TRIO (CB343) W M Lai SR Always caught 3-wide no cover, prominent throughout and 1L off pace in 3rd at 800 M, a neck down turning for home and still well there at 200 M, faded out late.
4 FLYING TAMARI (CG151) G Mosse -- Had the box-seat run 2Ls off pace in 4th until home turn, given every chance to quicken up but just too one-paced.
13 BEST POWER (CG006) Y T Cheng -- Switched from wide gate to race 4-back on fence in 9th or 10th about 4Ls or 5Ls off speed until home turn, could only run on past a few flagging rivals inside final 200 M.
10 EQUATOR KID (CC134) S K Sit -- Never any better than midfield, with cover about 6Ls in 11th at 1000 M, similarly placed off final bend, making minor ground when switched out at 150 M, never any danger.
1 TOM'S SIX (CG264) C W Wong V 9Ls back in last on fence at 1200 M, tended to over-race also, out wider and still last 6Ls back off final bend, made some minor late ground.
12 DIAMOND ERA (CE040) M Nunes SR/TT Always among rear bunch, 8Ls back in 12th on fence at 1000 M, one from rear turning for home, never troubled those in front.
6 NORTHERNER (CD293) F Coetzee XB Awkward break, 3-back on the fence 4Ls off pace in 6th at 1400 M and still nicely placed swinging for home, didn't find much off the bridle and weakened.
2 INFINITE DELIGHT (CG314) O Doleuze BO Awkward break with head up, worse than midfield about 5Ls or 6Ls off speed when 3-wide with cover down backstretch, forced 5-wide turning for home, no menace.
7 JIANG JUN (CE281) D Whyte XB Opted to lead but race much too freely while hanging out down the back, headed at top of home straight and beaten when severely checked about 100 M, eased thereafter. (Sore and swollen tendon.)
