2 3 HERE WE GO (CH247) G Mosse TT Bounced out, had more pace than usual and led them leaving straight, set a leisurely tempo controlling race to bend, kicked length clear turning, just caught on line.
3 2 ALL OUR WAY (CE217) C W Wong -- Even jump, held a forward spot 1 out 1 back just off pace, used little in mid-section with slow pace, peeled out turning and looked the winner but went down in 3 way go.
4 11 QUEST FOR LOVE (CE242) F Coetzee B Away well, able to hold leaders back despite check, had run of race thereafter, not asked in middle stages, right there turning and took run on inside but lacked turn of foot just holding ground in run to line.
5 8 DON RICARDO (CE262) D Whyte -- Began nicely, took up role outside leader, not used 1/2L back with slow pace, had easy time to bend, right in action turning, condition gave out last 100 M.
6 4 EVERGREEN (CE106) W M Lai TT Standard jump, couldn't get closer and ended up in midfield running line 4-5Ls back, not helped by tempo, urged along on bend, gradually made ground without threatening.
7 7 BEST POWER (CG006) Y T Cheng -- Well enough to begin, unable to slot in, forced to race 3-wide without cover 5Ls off pace, harmed by slow tempo, 3Ls down turning, made some progress down middle at an even rate.
8 10 CLASSA WIN (CA115) H W Lai -- No speed from outset, raced amongst last few 6Ls back on rails, not used in middle stages, not helped by tempo and saved ground on rails throughout, made some late ground along fence from impossible spot.
9 6 FANTUZZI (CG187) E Saint-Martin XB/TT1 Dropped to a rearward spot soon after start, raced 6Ls back in 2-wide line, had easy time to circle, well back on turning, closed off evenly under hands and heels. (See Racing Incidents.)
10 1 NOBLE HEART (CC355) B Prebble B/TT Taken back from a wide alley, raced on rails at tail 8Ls away from front runners, harmed by slow pace, gave a big start on bend, couldn't make an impression in straight.
11 9 SUNBELL (CB391) G Boss -- Began with rest, drifted back from a wide alley, raced 3-wide with cover 6Ls from leaders, disadvantaged by tempo, switched wide turning in, made limited progress in straight.
12 5 ON SHAN BRAVE (CH230) K Shea B Out well, taken back when posted wide, raced 8Ls back at rear in running line, not helped by slow pace, had field on front on bend, unable to get closer.
