2 11 CIRCUIT HERO (CG304) G Mosse -- Began with field, couldn't get across from wide gate and posted 3 wide 2Ls back with cover, eased 4 wide turning, let down nicely and kept closing to go down by only a narrow margin.
3 10 SPARKLING STAR (CD055) K Shea B Moderate jump, raced behind midfield 2 or 3 wide. 6Ls off speed, trailed 3 wide between horses on circle, in traffic turning, warmed up last 250 M making plenty of late progress.
4 6 YANKEE (CH271) B Prebble -- Standard beginning, settled 2 wide 6Ls off frontrunners in midfield, travelled well between horses on circle, hit clear at 350 M, produced an improved effort finishing off well to make frame.
5 8 CALIFORNIA LUCK (CG215) E Saint-Martin TT Away smartly, held leaders back and had an easy time in mid-section, right there on turning, steadily progressed into clear at 250 M, just ran out of condition last 100 M.
6 13 DR MORE (BV164) Y T Cheng B Ordinary jump, settled amongst last few 7 to 8Ls back on rails, eased 2 wide on circle, still well back on bend, made plenty of ground between horses in straight to be nearest on line.
7 4 FIRST BABY (CG170) K T Yeung CP/TT1 Well enough to begin, ended up in midfield running line 3 to 4Ls back, gradually improved to be 2Ls back turning, didn't pick up but kept on evenly in run to line (steadied 100 M).
8 12 FAVOURITE SUPREME (CH203) S K Sit TT Checked early and lost valuable ground, raced at tail 10Ls back, circled field on bend, from 600 M, came widest into straight, made some progress but set an impossible task.
9 3 DIM SUM (CH226) Z Purton -- Fast jumpout, took a trail and ended up 3Ls back in midfield on fence, not asked in mid-section, tracked nicely on bend, couldn't find daylight and only found run last 150 M when race was over.
10 5 MASTERY (CC176) O Doleuze TT Slow to begin, raced towards rear 7 to 8Ls 2 to 3 wide, always rearward and same margin back on turning in, lacked usual finishing burst but made some late progress from an impossible spot.
11 7 FLY ME TO THE MOON (CG104) D Whyte B First to hit ground, ended up outside leader, pressured throughout by outside horse, right there 1/2L down turning, weakened from 250 M before checked and dropped out all together.
12 14 DR POSSI (CE288) C W Wong -- Fair to jump, raced in midfield on rails 5 to 6Ls back, had a quiet time throughout, saved ground on bend, just produced a one-paced effort in straight.
13 2 WADADELIGHT (CC340) W M Lai B Began with them but caught out from a wide alley, posted 3 and 4 wide without cover 5Ls back, did plenty of work in run, niggled turning, faded out easily.
14 1 SUMMERVILLE POWER (CD398) H W Lai CP Jumped well, pressed on and raced 3 wide outside the leaders, did plenty of work without cover for journey, began to struggle turning, dropped out easily. (Irregular heart beat and bled.)
