2 VIVA MACAU (CH110) D Beadman CP/TT Better away and raced closer than usual on leaders back, had a soft trip with moderate tempo, tracked through nicely and took run at 200 M, finished off best to score a nice win.
13 LUCKYME (CH012) Y T Cheng TT Showed plenty of pace to lead easily, dictated terms 1L clear, still set a steady tempo to bend, wound up from 400 M, fought on when challenged and only run down late.
3 DAVE'S BEST (CC060) C W Wong -- Well enough to begin, ended up 4 to 5Ls back in two wide line, had a fair trip but went forward 3 wide on circle, 4 wide 2Ls back turning, dashed sharply hitting front but ran out of condition and faded late.
8 EVER BRIGHT (CG223) O Doleuze -- Taken back from an outside alley, raced 10Ls back in 2 wide line, not suited but moderate tempo, sent forward 4 wide from 800 M, made steady progress giving too much start to make frame. Solid return.
9 SUPREME GAINS (CG057) G Boss SR Standard jump, ended up behind midfield 7Ls back, harmed by slow pace, made 3 wide run at 600 M, came widest into straight, did best work late making many lengths to be not far away.
1 SYLLABUS (CD388) A Delpech B/TT Even break, ended up 3 to 4Ls back on fence, had easy trip using nothing to bend, saved ground on turning, held up for best part of straight, had something to offer but not fully tested.
12 INFINITE DELIGHT (CG314) W M Lai BO Reasonable jump, took up a spot just off pace 1 out 1 back 3Ls away, tracked nicely on bend, didn't pick up in straight but still fought on steadily to be not far away at finish.
5 NILOMETER (CD052) K L Chui TT Out well, pushed on to race 3 wide without cover, did share of work but helped by standard pace on, edged closer on bend, 1L down entering straight, couldn't sprint and just held ground in straight.
11 TIME SUPREME (CE012) C K Tong -- Little early pace as usual, ended up in midfield 6Ls down on rails, chances harmed by slow pace, came 2 wide on circle, in traffic turning in, made even progress but lacked dash to be a factor.
4 FAMOUS DANCER (CD353) M Nunes XB/H Took a rearward role soon after start, raced 8 to 9Ls back on rails, chances spoilt by slow pace, still well down on turning, switched out and kept on fairly giving too big a start.
7 SOUNDS BEST (CE255) M W Leung TT No early toe and shared rear 12 or more lengths back, raced 2 wide throughout, well back turning, in traffic for considerable distance and only held ground when clear.
6 AGILITY (CC361) F Coetzee XB No pace from outset, taken back to rails, raced 12 or more lengths from leaders, disadvantaged by tempo, still well down approaching bend, saved ground turning but made only limited progress.
10 SOCRATES (CD336) Z Purton B-/TT Broke nicely, moved up to race outside leader, had ideal trip with little pace on, right there but niggled on turning, no turn of foot and dropped out tamely last 200 M.
