3 1 RAIN CHECK (CH254) D Whyte B Raced inside the leader on the fence until being crossed passing the 600 M. Looked the likely winner before fading on its run inside the 100 M.
4 12 PACIFIC ALLIANCE (CC230) S K Sit B/H/TT Settled in last position and struck interference near the 700 M. Kept to the rail in the straight and closed off soundly.
5 2 TREASURE RAIDERS (CE049) B Prebble V Shortly after the start, was checked when crowded for room and travelled towards the rear of the field along the fence. Worked home fairly but was steadied near the 100 M.
6 6 THAT'S IT (CE223) M W Leung -- Raced in 2nd last position, and received interference near the 700 M. Came to the outside in the straight and made late ground.
7 11 GOOD VIEW SUCCESS (CE237) K L Chui TT Found the lead early but was always 1 off until crossing to the fence near the 600 M. Allowed to open up a slight margin turning for home but weakened inside the 200 M.
8 10 DECAGONAL (CH244) H W Lai TT Raced in front of midfield 1 off with cover, failed to quicken when under pressure in the run home.
9 9 ABLE STANDARD (CG043) Z Purton B/TT Slow to begin and travelled midfield 2 deep. Kept on to the final furlong but struggled from that point on.
10 3 WEALTHY TREASURE (CC270) C K Tong -- Raced on the back off the speed, 1 off with cover, was left racing without cover near the 600 M. Commenced to give ground prior to straightening and weakened right out over the concluding stages. (Lame morning after.)
11 5 SUDDEN SPLENDOR (CE251) Y T Cheng B/XB Settled behind midfield, 3 deep with cover. Was checked severely near the 700 M and never recovered.
UR 7 TRIUMPH (CC214) C W Wong V In the early stages, when wide and without cover was steadied near the 1300 M and raced midfield, 3-wide with cover. Was then left racing without cover after the 950 M and near the 700 M the rider was dislodged.
