5 7 BEST POWER (CG006) B Prebble B/TT Moderate beginning, ended up 4 to 5Ls away on rails, had a soft run however disadvantaged by pace, still in traffic at 400 M, closed strongly over later stages to be nearest on line.
6 1 MAINLAND SHUTTLE (CG315) G Mosse TT Out in line, went forward from outside alley to race 3-wide outside leaders 1L away, did work without cover, still there to 200 M but couldn't lift thereafter after early workload.
7 6 WARM EMBRACES (CJ162) G Boss -- Away only fairly ended up 3-wide 3Ls back in a compact field, had cover throughout and suited by tempo, made a bid on turning but run soon ended and battled last 250 M.
8 14 MINGS' HERO (CJ011) W M Lai SR/TT Out well, took up 1 out 1 back spot, enjoyed nice trail with slow tempo, still there 2Ls down turning, failed to lift as required in straight and just kept on at same pace in finish.
9 4 MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP (CG260) S K Sit -- Out with rest, ended up in midfield 5Ls away racing 2-wide, proved difficult to settle and disadvantaged by slow speed, pushed along turning, made limited headway last 300 M.
10 10 MONTE CRISTO (CH120) O Doleuze B Moderate jump and lost position early, raced 7Ls away at trail, slow pace harmed chances in mid-section, still last turning, made some headway down centre of track from an impossible spot.

13 9 FORTUNE WARRIOR (CD096) H W Lai B2 Average beginning, posted 4-wide without cover 6Ls off front runners, gradually improved on circle, 5-wide turning, was a spent force at 300 M and battled in finish.
14 3 MY LUCK (CE256) K L Chui B-/XB Fast away, lead comfortably, set a slow tempo throughout, headed on turning, there to 300 M but found little when asked and gave in tamely soon after.
