8 KINGS FALCON (CJ185) D Beadman H Began well, slotted into ideal spot 1 out 1 back 3Ls away, had best run to bend, improved from 400 M, let down strongly at 250 M, and went on to score impressively.
4 REGENCY DRAGON (CH001) F Coetzee B/TT First to break, lead comfortably, dictated pace to suit 1 to 2Ls clear in mid-section, ran race to suit to bend, kicked strongly at 400 M but couldn't respond when winner ascended at 200 M.
6 IMPERIAL APPLAUSE (CG209) M Du Plessis B No speed as usual, ended up 7 to 8Ls back in running line, not advantaged by tempo, still well back to 400 M, made good ground between horses in straight to be nearest on line.
10 HURRICANE DASH (CJ186) Z Purton XB1/TT1 Even jump, positioned 3 to 4Ls back on fence, not used in middle stages however proved difficult to settle, angled into clear approaching 400 M, made reasonable ground to take spot in frame.
7 MAVERICK STAR (CE279) Y T Cheng -- Reasonable beginning, positioned closer than usual 4 to 5Ls back from leaders, had chance with good run to bend, closed gradually but failed to find extra gear.
13 KING PRAWN SUPREME (CJ076) W M Lai B- Out smartly, took spot on leaders back, had an ideal run thereafter, still 2Ls down turning, struggled to pick up and just kept on at same speed in straight.
3 SURVEY SURVEY (CH070) C K Tong XB/TT Average jump and taken back from a wide gate, 6 to 7Ls back in running, same margin down turning, between horses for most of straight and was not properly tested.
9 GALEN WIN (CJ065) B Prebble CP Away evenly, unable to slot in and was posted 3-wide without cover 3Ls back, did plenty on circle, 2Ls down on turning, kept giving to 250 M but hard run took toll and weakened out late.
1 FLAMING LAMBORGINI (CE146) E Saint-Martin B2/TT Slowly away, settled a clear last 9 to 10Ls back, ridden along to hold spot on bend, last on turning, gave impossible start but did make some late ground despite never really likely.
11 DOWN THE WICKET (CH059) G Boss TT Fastest out, pressed on to race outside leader, always comfortable 2Ls away, same margin down on turning, failed to respond and dropped out soon after straightening.
12 BEAUTY EXPRESS (CJ284) H W Lai -- Ordinary jump, soon settled in rearward division, 6 to 7Ls from front runners throughout, saved ground on bend, couldn't respond turning and just battled away in straight.
5 HORACE'S CHOICE (CH169) O Doleuze H/TT Taken back from an awkward draw, raced 3-wide at rear 8Ls away, travelled fairly in mid-section, struggled to improve at 400 M, no impression in straight. (Blood in trachea.)
2 GREAT GUY (CH112) K L Chui TT Began only fairly, posted wide in midfield 5Ls back, did have cover to bend, pushed wide at 400 M, found little and dropped out soon after turning.
