8 12 KING HOGAN (CE257) H W Lai B Standard jump, eased back intentionally for a rail position, travelled well back before improving on the turn, unable to quicken up and ran home one-paced.
9 11 EYE WITNESS (CG027) K L Chui XB/TT Reasonable jump, lacked early speed to stay with the rest, soon settled towards the rear 9Ls behind the leader, found little on straight, only ran past beaten runners.
10 8 ELFHELM (CC342) W C Marwing B Well enough away, took a spot towards the rear travelling 3-wide, shuffled further back on the turn, dropped out quickly soon after straightening.
11 3 TOWERING FEELING (CG262) Z Purton TT1 Unable to work across from a wide draw and travelled wide for most of the race, made to work on turning, found no extra in the straight.
12 6 NILOMETER (CD052) Y T Cheng B/TT Broke well and was pushed to a forward position, went 5-wide on the 1st bend, led from 1200 M, struggled to sustain effort on straightening, soon weakened.
