5 9 GREAT GUY (CH112) K L Chui TT Restrained to race towards the rear, gradually shuffled back to last, remained there till 400 M, made up plenty of ground down the straight to be closest at the finish.
6 8 LU YUE (CH278) Y T Cheng B/H Jumped well from an inside draw, took up the running soon and had an uncontested lead throughout, kept on until 150 M when headed, weakened thereafter.
7 10 WIN PRACTITIONER (CG180) F Coetzee B Unable to slot in after the start, had to travel wide and without cover throughout the race, near last on turning, being hampered early in straight and was unable to finish off the race. (Lame after race.)
8 11 GO JOHNNY GO (CG290) H W Lai XB Began OK, settled on the rails in a prominent position one back in 3rd, soon came to challenge on straightening but could only produce moderate impression, weakened from 300 M.
9 3 TOP HONOR (CE183) M Du Plessis CP Settled in mid-division 2-wide and 4Ls off the pace, niggled along on turning, unable to quicken up in straight and just turned in a one-paced effort.
10 5 SILVER SUN (CE126) K C Leung -- Settled one out one back in 2nd, travelled OK under the moderate tempo but found little when asked on straightening, faded from 200 M.
11 4 AGILITY (CC361) B Doyle XB Restrained from a wide draw, took up a rearward spot about 6Ls off the pace, well covered throughout the race, unable to sprint with them under pressure, steadily weakened to be well beaten.
