4 HIGH POINT (CH215) D Whyte -- Average jump, ridden along to hold spot in midfield 4Ls back, had ideal run on back of a solid pace, improved 3 wide rounding bend, fought strongly in stretch to get nod in a tight finish.
10 DIM SUM (CH226) K T Yeung CP Out in line, unable to slot in from an awkward posted 3 wide with cover in midfield, did share of work to bend, came 4 wide into straight and closed hard to only be narrowly denied on line.

11 STREET CAT (CK037) C K Tong -- Began with rest, slotted in on rails 4Ls or so back, unbalanced at 1100 M, urged along at 500 M, improved between horses on bend, knuckled down to task final furlong finishing off well, useful debut.
1 INSPIRATION (CG111) Y T Cheng XB/TT Out in line, worked hard 4 wide early to take up running, attempted to idle once in front, held a 1L advantage straightening, run ended inside 200 M when workload took toll.
9 NOBLE MAN (CC099) M Du Plessis -- Away well enough, ended up drifting back to race 3 wide close to rear, 7Ls back, had cover throughout, steadied at 400 M when held up, made gradual progress without threatening.
2 KING ENCOSTA (CG247) E Saint-Martin TT Lacked early pace and taken back from a wide gate, raced 8Ls away at tail, aided by a solid pace, clear last turning, made some late ground without looking likely.
12 MY HOME TOWN (CH331) K L Chui -- Restrained from start, taken to rails and settled at rear, 7Ls away, gradually improved saving ground along inside on bend, bumped into clear at 200 M, closed only fairly thereafter.

6 CANNONISE (CD377) Z Purton B/TT Amongst fastest out, pushed on but trapped 3 wide without cover 2Ls back, always working throughout, still there to 200 M, faded inside furlong and checked at 100 M when tiring.
7 BLUE GENES (CG055) W C Marwing B/TT Swiftly away, took part in early speed battle, raced outside leader 1L away, did share of work in first half, same margin down on turning, couldn't respond but saddle shifted at 200 M and unable to be ridden out.
5 BEAR MACHO (CG152) O Doleuze -- Jumped with rest, took a spot 1 out 1 back just behind pace, had a fair run to bend, ridden along turning but severely checked at 150 M, took no part thereafter.
